INFORMATION FOR JUDGES AND ASPIRING JUDGES
This page will provide aspiring judges with links to information regarding the Judges' Competency Framework (JCF) which comes into force on 1st January, 2019. It will run for two years in parallel with the existing arrangements which will cease to be effective as of 1st January 2022.
The Golden Retriever Breed Council is working with the KC on the Pilot Scheme for the JCF, one of only a few breeds from each of the seven Groups.
There will be new information posted as and when it becomes available, and details of any Judges' Training that BD&CGRC may be offering. We understand that during the Pilot Scheme, should the curriculum of any training or assessments that you have attended and passed be altered, your result will stand. There will be no need to resit the Training.
As at December, 2017, there have been a number of JCF Q&A sessions around the country. We suggest that if you see one advertised in the future, it doesn't matter what Society are organising them, try and get a seat. The Qs and As will be the same for any breed, this is for Judges and how it will affects you, not the breed.
